Prof. Dr. Jegatheswaran Ratnasingam

Professor Dr. Jegatheswaran Ratnasingam is the Head of Department of Natural Resources Industry at the Faculty of Forestry & Environment at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He has been with the furniture industry throughout Asia for 15 years, holding many senior management positions, before venturing into academia. He is the author of more than 250 research articles, and is regularly on consultancy assignments for many international organizations. He is also an active researcher in the field of optimization, sustainable wood industry and recently in industrial automation as well as Industry 4.0. He is the recipient of three Honorary Professorships from universities in Germany, United Kingdom and South Africa.
